  • If you have an Access ID connected with an AT&T email address, the password will be the same on both att.com and att.net.
  • Changing your password affects both your Access ID and your email address.
  • Always use your AT&T email account to complete these steps, even if it has been combined with a Yahoo email address.
  • The procedures below apply to both primary and secondary email accounts, as well as all AT&T email address domains ( bellsouth.net, flash.net, prodigy.net, s wans.net, nvbell.net, att.net, pacbell.net, swbell.net, snet.net ).

Use a temporary password to reset your AT&T password.

ATT Email Reset Password – Bellsouth Email Reset Password

From a web application, go to the web address “att.net.”

Tap the Sign in interface located in the top right corner of the landing page.

If you have forgotten your Bellsouth email password, the login error notice will appear on your screen.

Tap the ‘Forgot your Bellsouth email password?’ link underneath the password box. This link will take you to the att.com Password Reset page.

Check the Password box now. Please provide your Username and Last Name. Press the Continue button.

You now have the option of either receiving a temporary password or answering your security questions.Pick between “I’ll answer my security questions” or “Send me a temporary password.”

AT&T will send you an email with a new temporary password to your recovery email address if you choose a temporary password. Create a new password for bellsouth.net login after logging in with this temporary password.

  • Enter the temporary password if you selected temporary password. The temporary password page provides the email address to which the password was provided.
  • Create a new passphrase.

Web-based access to your email account

Go to att.net.

Choose Mail.

Your email address and password are required.

Choose Sign In. To remain logged in, choose Keep me logged in.

Note: If you are already logged into att.net or AT&T Start, click Home and then Mail.
